Too many old friends not with us any longer.  Wishing Gordon's family and friends peace during this challenging time.  Just another reminder for all of us to get together in October to see each other once again and renew old friendships.  We can share memories about Gordon and others at that time.  Important to keep their memories alive.  Rest in peace and our memories, classmates and friends!

It is hard to believe it has been this long - but for the past 51 years you have been a part of my life. Our earliest years were certainly the happiest: we shared love, laughter and joy. We travelled in Germany, to the Caribbean, Canada, and up and down both coasts. We brought new life into this world. You were patient, kind and great with the children.  You excelled at your job as a salesman and a swim coach. People described you as being so charming that you could ‘sell ice to an Eskimo’ which I never doubted. We grieved together for our loved ones. We faced both good times together, as well as some very stormy, dark times.

Our memories together spanned the decades from adolescence, young adulthood, 30-somethings, to senior citizens…and if I dare say so- in some of those memories you were really a pain in the butt.

Although we went our separate ways 30 years ago, the shared love for our two sons and our grandchildren kept us complicatedly entwined.  It is with this lifetime of memories that I wish you loving and lasting peace.  I know that you will be watching over our family from above and maybe with a little help from up there, the new arrival will hit her 4-30 target in memory of you.  RIP dear soul.

With love, Barb

Lovely sentiments, Barb. Was so sorry to hear about Gordon.  He and I shared so many laughs at our 40th and I was looking forward to doing the same at our 50th.  Thinking of all our classmates who have passed and thoughts are with you and your family, Barb, at this time.  Hope to see many of you in. October!  Liz

Gordon King- The human torpedo- the man-fish-the wave maker. This waterman used to make me feel like I lost the swim race before I ever got off the block. Gordon and his brothers, Wayne and Gary were truly amazing athletic aquamen. I remember them from the Summer swim meets in the mid 60's when I would ride my bike through the woods to the Riverton Country club - RCC vs Pamona Swim club. Those 3 dudes ALWAYS won their races and collected more blue ribbons than a PBR brewery!  I didn't see GK much over the years since but do remember having a few beers with him and others at the 40th and laughing our arses off- Gordon was crazy funny!

Thanks for the laughs and swimming memmories GK- float in liquid gardens and swim in peace!

Holland
